Striker bemoans key decision
Reading striker Simon Church has criticised Saturdays officials against Blackpool, after they denied the Welshman a perfectly fine goal for offside, when it appeared afterwards he was a few yards onside.
The Royals lost the game 1-0 to Ian Holloway's side thanks to Wigan loanee Calum McManaman. Reading missed their fair share of chances while Alex Pearce was also denied a clear-cut penalty after being hauled to the ground by Tangerines defender Ian Evatt.
The 22-year old told Get Reading that: 'I`ve seen it again and I`m miles onside. I thought it was obvious and never thought it would be called offside, I can`t believe it. Decisions have gone against us as well, but we can`t use that as an excuse and have to finish games off.'
"It`s always tough at Blackpool and it was under tough conditions as well. The pitch cut up straight away, but we can have no excuses and we`re gutted for the fans as there were a lot of them.'
The Wales international has scored four goals this season, most recently coming last Tuesday against Peterborough United to level the scores at 1-1 and eventually going onto win the game 3-2.
