Reading defender Alex Pearce has been named in the nPower Championship's Team of the Week. The 23-year scored against West Ham last week and kept a very credible clean sheet against the promotion contenders.

Leeds (17th December) and Cardiff (2nd January) away tickets are now on sale. The third round FA Cup tie against Stevenage at home are now also on sale, with very reduced match prices.

On the topic of the FA Cup, the Reading youth team are in action tonight against Middlesbrough in the third round at the Riverside and will prove to be a tough test for the Royals youngsters.

Central defender Bongani Khumalo appeared in a reserve match for parent club Tottenham last night, in an attempt for him to regain full fitness after recent injury.
