McDermott: Cummings is like Rambo!

Reading manager Brian McDermott has likened right-back Shaun Cummings to the fictional character Rambo, after playing on at Leeds last week despite having dislocated his shoulder in a challenge.

He came through in the 1-0 against the Yorkshire side and is similar to fictional film character Rambo, played by Sylvestre Stallone, who in the film also dislocated his shoulder and carried on.

Cummings told the official RFC site: 'I'm getting it strapped up in training, it's OK. The adrenaline took most of the pain, I got a tackle from behind, I fell over and my weight went through my shoulder. I felt it come out a bit, I moved it and it's gone back in so it's fine now.'

The 22-year old has cemented his place in the team over the past few months, which is a shock turnaround considering most Reading fans cringed whenever the right back made an appearance.
