Reading chasing former United defender

Reading are keeping an eye on Aarhus defender Adam Eckersley, who could relight his career back in England, having begun his career at Manchester United.

The 26-year old, who primarily plays at left-back, has helped Aarhus to win the Danish Second Division and have been promoted to the Danish Superliga, which has gained the defender to have some admirers.

According to the Daily Mail, the Royals and Dutch side Feyenoord are keeping tabs on the former England youth international player. He never played for Manchester United and found himself shipped out on loan numerous times.

With Reading already having Joseph Mills and Ian Harte occupying that position, it could be a deal weighed up in the summer, with Harte's contract set to run out at the end of this current season.
