Royals tracking Burnley star

Reading are considering the possibility of making a bid for Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez, according to recent reports.

The 22-year old is reportedly being chased by fellow Premier League sides Southampton and Norwich, following a fine season for Rodriguez where he scored 21 goals in all competitions for Eddie Howe's side. Bet Victor have placed Reading third favourite to sign the striker at 13/2, with the Saints favourites at 5/2.

The England U21 international was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year a few weeks ago and is one of the hottest prospects outside of the Premier League. The Clarets have placed a 6 million price tag on the forward but would be likely to accept anything in the region of 3-4 million.
