Royals eye up Forest starlet

Reading have reportedly joined in the chase for Nottingham Forest Gareth McCleary, according to the Reading Post.

Jonny Fordham of the Reading Post reported yesterday that Reading are currently in talks to sign the winger on a free transfer, with his contract running out at the end of this current season. Forest's player of the season is yet to agree a new deal and has admitted he would like to play in the Premier League.

The 24-year old has finally found a regular place in the Forest team this season and has scored a credible nine goals this term, four of them coming in one game against Leeds in March. Fellow Premiership sides Wigan, Norwich and West Brom are also keen on the pacey winger.
