Wales duo Simon Church and Hal Robson-Kanu played in Chris Coleman's first game as Wales boss against Mexico. Winger Kanu started the game on the left, coming close to scoring before being replaced by Church on the hour mark. However, they did lose to the Mexicans 2-0 in that game.
Defender Kaspars Gorkss captained Latvia in their 1-0 loss to Euro 2012 hosts Poland, while Jordan Obita is on standby for England U19s. Irish striker Karl Sheppard is also on standby for the Republic of Ireland U21s, despite being plagued with injuries during his time with the Royals.
