Royals linked with French full back
Reading are considering a move for French right back Mattieu Chalmé, according to talkSPORT.
The 31-year old is currently playing his football for Bordeaux in Ligue 1, but could be offered a chance to play in the Premier League. Scouts from the newly-promoted side have reportedly been watching the former Ligue 1 winner during the season, but will be competing with Nice to sign Chalmé.
Signing a right-back would be a notable priority for Royals boss Brian McDermott this summer, with Shaun Cummings the only recognised right-sided full back in the Reading squad at current. Nathaniel Clyne is another full back being linked with the Royals, with his contract due to run out this summer.
