Robert Koren's agent Zoran Krneta has said that the Hull midfielder would be very interested in a move to Reading.
Vital Reading exclusively revealed last week the interest from Brian McDermott in Koren, with a move for the 31-year old a high possibility. The bid set to be submitted for Koren is believed to be around the £750,000 mark, but Hull could be looking for a seven-figure fee to take away their prized asset.
Krneta said: 'I cannot tell you anything right now as is it early days, but there has been a long-term admiration by Brian McDermott for Robert. He tried six years ago to buy Robert, but he joined West Brom. Robert is a player Brian knows very well, but the circumstances were different back then.'
'I believe there is no player in the Championship who would not be attracted to the Premier League. Obviously, if there was an offer from Reading then that would be something Robert would think over seriously. But Hull have just appointed a new manager and I am sure Robert will want to come back from his holiday and see what happens.'
Championship rivals Middlesbrough and his former manager Nigel Pearson at Leicester are also keen on the Slovenian captain, who has shown a good goalscoring ratio from midfield. Koren has scored 17 goals in 81 games for the Tigers, while at his spell with Lillestrom seven years ago, he scored 19 goals in 75 games.
