Reading midfielder Jem Karacan has thanked all the Royals fans for the support he has received over the past five months, on his return from injury.
The 23-year old suffered a broken ankle against Leeds back in April, meaning he missed the crucial, final games of the season. However, Jem received magnificent support from the fans during his injury-stricken months and has taken the opportunity to thank the Reading supporters for their constant support over these past few months.
Speaking to the Official Reading FC website, Jem said: 'The fans have been amazing and have given me nothing but support since the beginning, they have really helped with my recovery. I always get nice tweets wishing me the best so I wanted to leave them all a message to show that it really has done a lot of good and I appreciate it so much.'
Karacan made his return to a football field in Saturday's 2-2 draw with his former side Bournemouth, gaining an outstanding ovation from the travelling Reading contingent. The Turkey U21 international is also in the middle of contract discussions, which he hopes to have tied by next week. Reports have stated possible rifts in these negotiations, but Jem denies these rumours, with more on that tomorrow.
