Jones delighted to capture Antonio

Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones has said he is delighted to have completed the signing of long-term target Michail Antonio.

The 22-year old completed his long-awaited move to the newly-promoted side on Tuesday for a fee believed to be around the £850k mark, with Antonio signing a four-year deal. He struggled to earn a regular place in Brian McDermott's side and was very much keen on a move away from the Madejski Stadium.

Speaking to the Sheffield Wednesday Official website: "We had to wait a while to get this one done and had to show a lot of patience. The boy made it obvious he wanted to come to us but there were a few hurdles to clear and I`m delighted he is now our player. A lot of hard work has gone into this one and I`m pleased for everyone involved."

'I have every confidence in him and so does everybody else. I think people forget that he is still a prospect and that`s because of the impact he had here last season. He`s a very talented boy, there is no doubt about that, but he will have competition for a shirt and I`m sure that is the way he would like it."
