Royals starlet joins Pompey

Reading forward Jordan Obita has joined League One side Portsmouth on a one-month loan deal.

The 18-year old has joined the cash-strapped club, along with goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen, who signed for Pompey last week. Both will be in the squad for their game against Colchester tonight, with the Oxford-born winger likely to settle for a place on the bench.

Obita spent time on loan at two League Two clubs last season, Barnet and Gillingham and during his spell with the Gills, he scored three goals in six games. Jordan is also an England U19 international, who can play on either wing or just behind the main striker.
