Royals international round up

A round-up of all the Reading players around the globe at the moment representing their respective countries....

----------------------------------------------

It was a fantastic night for Reading's Welsh trio, as they picked up their first win of the qualifying campaign in a 2-1 victory over Scotland. Defender Chris Gunter started the game, with forward duo Simon Church and Hal Robson-Kanu both on the bench for Chris Coleman. HRK made it on for the last 20 minutes.

However, two Royals were not able to participate for their country due to injury. Mikele Leigertwood was still struggling with a dead leg, while defender Adrian Mariappa has been suffering with a rib injury suffered a few days ago training with Jamaica.

Royals defender Kaspars Gorkss captained his Latvia side, as they lost 2-1 to Slovakia, meaning the Latvians are still looking for there first point of the qualifying campaign. All of the players mentioned as also set to play on Tuesday, but should be fit for next weeks visit to Liverpool.
