Reading youth midfielder Lawson D'Ath has said to play against the likes of Jack Wilshere and Bacary Sagna was a great experience.
The 19-year old lined up against the Arsenal stars in an under 21 game at Underhill last week, which the Royals unfortunately lost 2-0. However, the young players in the side can take enormous experience from playing against these internationals and will now concentrate on their rescheduled tie coming up against Bolton tonight.
Speaking to the Official RFC site, Lawson said: 'It was a good experience against Arsenal, and I had a few positive comments after the game. They`ve played against the best players in the world - the likes of Xavi and Iniesta. It`s crazy to think that they`ve done that and it was great for all of us to test ourselves against them.'
'It was good to play with some of the senior boys. It will mostly be the younger boys playing so it will be great for us to all get together and show what we could do. It was a bit annoying when it was called off because we had to wait around in the hotel while it was raining - but all the boys are focused again and determined to get the job done.'
Lawson made his debut for Reading in the FA Cup last season, coming on as a substitute against Stevenage. Following his debut, the attacking midfielder joined up with Yeovil Town for the rest of the season on loan, where he made 14 appearances and scored his first goal in professional football against Colchester United.
