Royals midfielder leaves on loan

Reading midfielder Lawson D'Ath was joined Cheltenham Town on a month's loan deal.

The 19-year old joins the League Two outfit, after scouts from Mark Yates' side were impressed with Lawson in the Royals' victory 3-0 over Norwich under 21s during the week. It is expected that D'Ath will go straight into their squad to face Exeter tomorrow.

The Oxford-born midfielder, who is renowned for his goal scoring ability from midfield, has made one appearance for the Reading first team in the FA Cup in January. He enjoyed a loan spell at Yeovil Town last campaign, playing 14 games for Gary Johnson's side.
