'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McDermott coy on possible Graham bid

Reading manager Brian McDermott did not give anything away on a possible move for Swansea's Danny Graham, but admitted he is a fan of the striker.

The 27-year old has reportedly held crunch talks with Swans boss Michael Laudrup last week, admitting he wants to be playing more regularly. Fellow Premier League sides Norwich and Sunderland are also keeping tabs on the former Watford striker, who has scored 16 goals in 50 appearances for the Welsh outfit.

Brian told the Official Reading FC website that: 'I think there`s a bit of interest in Danny Graham. He`s scored a couple of goals lately as well, he`s scored in the league, what can I say. I`ve known him since he was at Carlisle, Middlesbrough before that. He`s another one who has developed over time. But he`s not our player, it`s nothing to do with us."

I'm not really sure if it's striker we should be looking for at the moment, as I don't see our strike force being the problem at the moment. It's their supply that I doubt, so I would much rather invest the £3 million mentioned in a midfield player, who can create chances for the likes of Pog and Le Fondre, who can score goals at this level.
