Zambia coach Herve Renard has said that Stoppila Sunzu could play for a much better team than Reading.
The 24-year old is close to completing his move to the Madejski Stadium, but is currently competing for his country in the African Cup of Nations. Sunzu was also reportedly being chased by fellow Premier League side Arsenal, but Renard feels that even if he does move to the Royals, he will still move onto bigger things.
Speaking before the start of the tournament, the Frenchman told BolaZambia.com: "If I was able to advise him I will tell him wait. But I am not his advisor in terms of contract, in terms of career it is not my problem. I am sure about one thing if Stophilla Sunzu signed for Reading, he won`t stay long.'
'He has a better shot to sign for the biggest teams in England this is my opinion. If you think to force one player to stay in camp and maybe lose the chance of his life I do not think he will play at one hundred percent at the tournament one week after.'
Sunzu's Zambia drew 1-1 with Ethiopia, while the towering defender had a very solid game in central defence. He was booked early on after a fairly rash challenge, but apart from that, looked very composed. Couldn't do much about Eithiopia's goal and had a few long-range efforts to no avail.
