Reading captain Jobi McAnuff has sung the praises of winger Jimmy Kebe, who scored both goals in the 2-1 victory over Sunderland yesterday.
The Malian put the Royals in front after just seven minutes, firing home from the edge of the box with a fine left-footed effort. Jimmy's second was a header from an Ian Harte free kick with five minutes to go, but also put in his fair share of work to keep the visitors at bay, which his captain has fairly highlighted.
Spekaing to the Official Reading FC website, Jobi said: 'He's a real handful for any defence in this league and today he's shown a different side to his game - he was back defending, blocking crosses and it was a fantastic header to get the winner today. He's beginning to get a bit of a reputation for himself as someone who is a good header of the ball!'
'The first goal was a fantastic finish too, great first touch to beat the man and then a top strike. Jimmy is in really good form and he's been a big player for us so far this season. His goal return has been good and he's flying at the moment. He's a real sight to see when he's in full flow and I'm glad he's in our side when he's on song like this.'
Jimmy can very much divide opinion among our fans, we all know he can be very frustrating to watch. However, this season he has developed fantastically with his defensive side of the game, which could be highlighted today or against Man City, when he was superb.
