Reading's Jobi McAnuff has admitted he would consider moving to the United Arab Emirates in the later days of his career.
The 31-year old is currently contracted at the Madejski Stadium until the summer of next year, but it unsure whether Jobi will be offered an extension at the club. While he admits the UAE is an option, he also wouldn't rule out the possibility of moving to the MLS.
Speaking to Shoot.co.uk about whether he would consider a move to the UAE, the Royals captain said: "I`ve been on numerous occasions for holidays because I love it here and I came for a training camp once before when I was with Watford. I`m not closing any options off as I`d definitely like to experience football somewhere else in my career.'
'I know there`s a number of other clubs here at the moment and it`s the ideal place to come because of the weather, the facilities and the fact that it`s not too far to travel from London. Obviously the MLS in America is an interesting option, but I`d definitely consider a move to the UAE Pro League in future."
Can I see Jobi being here beyond the end of the his contract beyond 2014? I doubt it. We are a club in transition at the moment and despite the fact that McAnuff has been a great servant for this club, his peak as a player has very much passed. Would this then give the green light for HRK to start regularly? We'll see.
