Royals defender will NOT sign new deal

Reading defender Alex Pearce has told the club he will not be signing a new deal this summer, according to GetReading.

The 24-year old's current contract is set to run out this summer and reportedly told the club on Sunday that he would not be renewing his deal at the Madejski Stadium. A move to Liverpool has been rumoured, to join up with his former boss Brendan Rodgers, but is mere speculation at this stage.

A player that has been renowned for his badge kissing in his seven-year tenure at the club, seems like he is about to turn his back on the team that gave him his chance in the game. Pearcey is a decent defender, but if he wants this move for playing purposes, he is certainly not as good as he thinks he is.
