'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fixtures tomorrow - two already confirmed

The fixtures for the new Championship season will be released at 9am tomorrow, but two fixtures have already been confirmed.

The fixtures for all top four divisions of English football will be released tomorrow morning, with many waiting in anticipation at who they will face the opening day on Saturday 3rd August. However, there will be four sides that the Royals definitely won't be facing.

Those sides are Burnley and Bolton, as well as Derby and Blackburn, who are competing to celebrate the 125 years of the Football League. Our last four opening games have been at home, but we are yet to win on the opening day for six years!

I'd like to see Yeovil or Bournemouth away for our first game, or even an early reunion with Brian against Leeds. However, with Reading festival taking place on the weekend commencing the 23rd, if you backtrack in home-away pattern, there is a chance we could start at home again, due to policing.
