Striker still unsure of Royals future
Reading striker Pavel Pogrebnyak is still not sure where his future lies, despite reports of an imminent move away from the club.
The 29-year old joined the Royals last summer, but following relegation, has been linked with a move away, with reports saying he has a relegation clause in his contract. A move back to native Russia is most likely, but Pog has admitted he would like to stay in England.
Quoted by Sky Sports, Pogrebnyak gave an update on his future last week by saying: 'I have three years left on my contract, so we'll see what happens. I don't want to finish my career yet. I think the real moves in the English transfer market will start in the next couple of weeks.'
'I'm in London at the moment. I'm back from my holiday. I was in Turkey with my family and I also spent a week in Moscow. I start training at Reading on Thursday, but so far I don't know what will happen.'
When we did a poll a few weeks back, the majority of fans said that they would like him to stay and I'd agree with that. He received some stick last season, but I felt he couldn't do much better with the players he had around him. The likes of Drenthe and Guthrie could really bring the best out of him.
