Young striker departs on loan

Young striker departs on loan

Promising young striker Gozie Ugwu has joined Shrewsbury Town on a youth loan deal.

The 19-year old has been in fantastic form for the under 21 side this term, as well as some fine performances last season. The loan deal with the League One outfit is set to run until the start of January, but can be extended if both parties agree.

Gozie will go straight into their 18-man squad for their visit to Port Vale this weekend, where the pacey forward will be hoping to make an appearance. Let's hope he can get some decent football under his belt and maybe have a burst into the first team in the latter stages of the season if he does well.
