Team News: M'Boro vs Reading

As we head into the game against Middlesbrough on Sunday, here is a quick injury update for both sides.

Royals midfielder Chris Baird hasn't recovered as quickly as first thought from his sprained ankle, but has participated in full training. The defensive duo of Sean Morrison and Wayne Bridge are still missing for the away side.

Illness plagued some members of the first team squad for Leicester, most namely Jordan Obita who missed the game altogether and Garath McCleary too, who was named on the bench, but was not well enough to come on. Despite this, both should be fine for this game.

The long-term injury problems still remain that of Mikele Leigertwood, Jem Karacan and Jason Roberts. Nigel Adkins is therefore not likely to make many changes from the side that lost to Leicester, possibly bringing in another striker into the starting XI.

Our opponents Middlesbrough will give late fitness tests to the duo of Frasier Richardson and Mustapha Carayol, while first-choice goalkeeper Jason Steele remains sidelined with an ankle problem, but have very good back-up in Shay Given.

Boro will also be without striker Kei Kamara, who has a serious medial ligament injury. New boss Aitor Karanka is unlikely to make many changes to his side that won against Burnley during the week.
