Transfer rumour: Interest in Cherries striker

Reading have reportedly shown an interest in Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.

According to the Bournemouth Echo, Reading are considering a move for the forward who scored for the Cherries in their 2-1 win at the Madejski Stadium in December. Grabban has already had talks with Brighton, but any deal is yet to be concluded.

The Bournemouth-based newspaper is reporting that the accepted bid from the Seagulls was for 1.1 million, which Reading would obviously have to match. He has scored ten goals so far this campaign, close to matching last season's tally of 13 goals.

I would be surprised if we attempted to sign Grabban, especially as he seems very similar to Blackman in that he has good pace and can play out wide - just without the goals of course! A good all round striker though, who would be a good replacement for Alfie.
