'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Reading 5 - 1 Blackpool

Reading bounced back from their defeat to Ipswich on Saturday, as a second consecutive home hat trick from Adam Le Fondre set the Royals on their way to a convincing 5-1 win over managerless Blackpool.

The Royals started the game well at the Madejski Stadium, as Le Fondre opened the scoring, poaching in from McCleary's deflected effort. Alfie then doubled the lead and his tally for Adkins' side ten minutes later, as he got on the end of a flicked header at the back post from Jobi McAnuff's cross.

It wasn't all about Alfie though, as Pavel Pogrebnyak got a goal to his name, as the Russian finished calmly. Davies' stunning goal got one back for the visitors, but Le Fondre was then to get his hat trick, as he confidently dinked the ball over the onrushing Matt Gilks. Sub Hal Robson-Kanu rounded off the scoring late on.

Full match report to follow on Wednesday afternoon.
