Royals linked with Norwich midfielder

Here is an odd one - Reading are reportedly considering a loan move for Norwich want-away midfield Wes Hoolahan.

According to West London Sport, the Royals are one of many teams to express an interest in the 31-year old, who failed to see a move away from Norwich last month. The loan window reopened on Friday and Nigel Adkins could move to bolster his squad for a play-off push.

QPR and Forest are the other teams mentioned, with Rangers likely to be the favourites to sign him. Having been linked with Graham Dorrans in the window last month, it seems that Adkins is keen to add an attacking midfielder to his squad.

A move for Hoolahan would obviously be unlikely, but what a signing it would be if we pulled it off. We have struggled for a player like him since we lost Sigurdsson back in 2010, so to fill this void with the Ireland international would be a great move.
