'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Reading on verge of new owners?

Don't shoot the messenger, but the Daily Star is reporting that Sir John Madejski has found new owners for the club.

According to the tabloid, the Royals chairman, now in complete control of the club again, has signed an early agreement to sell the club. However, the identity of this buying party is unknown, but have reportedly matched Madejski's 25 million asking price.

These deal should be completed in March and then the identity of this group will be revealed. Whether there is any truth is this is unknown, but they appear to be the only media source that has picked up on this, which does raise doubts over how true it is.

With it being confirmed that Anton no longer having any interest in the club, we really do need to find a new owner soon. As much as Madejski offers us stability, it will probably mean we go back to selling our key players over the summer to balance the books.
