Royals prepare for final friendly

Reading will take on Premier League side Swansea City at the Madejski Stadium later today, in our final pre-season friendly.

It is the final opportunity for Nigel Adkins to judge his players, ahead of next week's opening Championship fixture against Wigan. The injury list remains a long one, with Jem Karacan, Danny Guthrie, Danny Williams, Hal Robson-Kanu and Garath McCleary all out.

This is the 22-man squad that will be used in tomorrow's friendly: Federici, Andersen, McCarthy, Morrison, Pearce, Sweeney, Cooper, Gunter, Obita, Cummings, Long, Griffin, Akpan, Hector, Tshibola, Kuhl, Stacey, Taylor, Edwards, Blackman, Tanner, Pogrebnyak.

I doubt there will be many subs made, as it really is a game for most first teamers to get the full ninety minutes under their belt for next week. I'd imagine we'd see the following starting XI, with Tshibola and Cummings getting some minutes from the bench.
