According to reports Colchester United have turned down a £2.5 million offer from Sheffield United for Greg Halford.
But what has this to do with Reading? I hear you cry, be patient, be patient.
The midfielder is also alleged to be on Reading`s shopping list during the January transfer window.
Colchester`s boss Gerraint Williams has made it clear that the sought after right back will not leave the club for less then £4 million.
He remarkerd: 'It would be a blow if anyone left - but every player has his price.'
Such a price tag, could price Reading out of the market for the 22-year-old, especially if they had to ensue in a bidding war with rivals after making an intial offer.
