Leroy Hopes Sidders Stays

Leroy Lita has become the latest player to speak out on the Sidwell saga.

The Reading striker, who has hit terrific form recently, admitted that Steve Sidwell would be incredibly difficult to replace.

Sidders has not yet signed a deal with the Royals and could leave the club in the summer on a free transfer, and Lita has joined a list of his team-mates who hope the influential midfielder can agree terms with Reading:

'He is a big player for us,' Lita told Sky Sports News. 'I have seen him bully a lot of big-name midfielders and he has done fantastic.

'If we lose him it will be a blow, but he is committed and every game he is up for it. His attitude is spot on and that can't be questioned.

'He is in a great position and you have to respect that.'

Meanwhile Lita alos acknowledged that Kevin Doyle`s injury will be a blow for Reading too:

'He is a key player for us, he has scored a lot of goals and does a lot for the team,' noted Lita.

'If we are missing him it is going to be a big loss for the team.'
