Short and sweet today, or rather, short and very uninteresting… Not a lot of progression since yesterday.
The Mirror has covered yesterday`s news that Reading are in the process of signing Mikkel Andersen from AB Copenhagen.
The Irish Daily Star reports that Cork have no interest in letting Alan Bennett go, despite persistent attention from the Royals.
'It's disconcerting and distracting that Reading are chasing Alan,' Cork boss, Damien Richardson told the Irish Daily Star. 'We know from our experience that British clubs are persistent in this matter.'
Meanwhile Dave Kitson spoke to the Reading Evening Post about his frustrating period on the sidelines. The striker told how he hasn`t felt part of the wining season but hopes to change that now:
"The success has nothing to do with me," said Kitson. "I haven`t had anything to do with this season.
"This year has been a right pain in the arse on all fronts.
"Just watching games has been hard," admitted Kitson. "When Spurs came to Madejski Stadium I was on the verge of breaking down.
"The saving grace is we still have to play at White Hart Lane and hopefully I can have some involvement in that.
"I tried to watch the boys and be supportive, but it`s horrible, especially when the strikers score.
"The one thing that makes you realise how much you miss playing is when you watch it."
