Team news - QPR vs Reading

It's finally back! At long last, we are back to Championship action, as we look at the team news for our visit to Loftus Road to play QPR tomorrow.

Ian Holloway's side haven't been able to do much business in the transfer window this summer due to financial constraints, but don't have many injuries to contend with compared to the Royals. New signing Josh Scowen from Barnsley is likely to occupy a place on the bench.

Central defender Grant Hall will be missing, while Steven Caulker (who is still at QPR apparently?!) is short on fitness, but could make the bench. Midfielder Jordan Cousins is also still on the treatment table, but they will have enough options to cover his absence.

The injury list is growing at a worrying rate for Jaap Stam, but the Dutchman has remained coy on the extent of the injuries. Defender Tyler Blackett, Joey van den Berg, Jon Dadi Bovardsson and Jordan Obita will all under late fitness tests to see if they can feature.

Injury stricken midfielder Stephen Quinn is likely to miss out, while skipper Paul McShane is still suspended after his red card in the play-offs last season. New signing Modou Barrow could make the squad after training today, but will only make the bench at best.

Garath McCleary had an operation over the summer and is yet to resume training, while forward Yann Kermorgant is a long-term absentee after groin and hip surgery last month. Callum Harriott and Joseph Mendes are both back in training, but won't be considered.
