Team news - Reading vs Swansea

As we look forward to welcoming Premier League visitors Swansea City to the Madejski Stadium in the cup tonight, we look at teams for both teams.

There will most likely be changes a plenty tonight as Stam looks to keep his big squad happy. Former Swans player Modou Barrow will be missing with injury, but there will be a chance for Jordan Obita and John Swift to get some minutes on their comeback from injury. It will come slightly earlier for Calum Harriott and Tennai Watson, who have just resumed full training.

Strikers Joseph Mendes and Yann Kermorgant are both still on the treatment table, meaning we are slightly stretched on the striker front. The impressing academy graduate Sam Smith will be in the squad after he didn`t feature for the under 23s last night, as will Andy Rinomhota who impressed in the last round. Adi Popa will get a rare chance to impress after missing out on the squad recently.

Swansea will give a first start to new summer signing Wilfred Bony, who rejoined the club last month and has only made substitute appearances. Defender Kyle Bartley and Lloyd Dyer will both be missing for the away side, as will central midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng. Paul Clement is expected to make changes to his side too, with Leroy Fer likely to get a start.

Predicted Reading XI - 4-3-3: Jaakkola; Gunter, Moore, Illori, Obita; Evans, Swift, Bacuna; Popa, Bovardsson, Beerens.
