Player Ratings - Hull City (H)

Player Ratings - Hull City (H)

After another rather drab showing, which was saved by a Jon Dadi Bodvarsson equaliser late on, we take a look at player ratings.

Vito Mannone - 6 - Couldn't do anything about the goal and had nothing to do apart from that, helpless for the free kick that slammed the bar. No issues with distribution.

Chris Gunter - 5 - He can't take total blame for the goal, as McShane sold him out, but it still wasn't his best showing. He was poor with the ball and showed little attacking intent.

Paul McShane - 5 - Maybe a slightly harsh rating, but I still hold him at fault for the goal after getting dragged out and leaving the gap for Campbell. He didn't look as composed as he usually does with a few shaky moments.

Liam Moore - 6 - Typically solid performance from Moore, who was rarely tested all afternoon.

Joey van den Berg - 6 - Like Moore, he was rarely troubled in the back three. It was a typical Jekyll and Hyde performance from Joey, making some great interceptions, only to then make a disastrous pass.

Tyler Blackett - 5 - I would argue Blackett has been one of our best performers this season, but this really didn't work out. He gave the ball away needlessly at times and like Gunter, showed very little attacking intent.

Liam Kelly - 6 - Stam said after the game he thought Kelly had a poor game and while he certainly wasn't at his best, it was harsh to bring him off. He's our top scorer this season for a reason.

Dave Edwards - 5 - He seems a great character, but as Wolves fans warned, he lacks the necessary quality to have an influence on a game. He tried to keep it ticking, but there were a few too many sloppy passes.

Roy Beerens - 5 - Roy was given his chance after a decent performance midweek in the cup, but he was largely anonymous in this game. He did well to set up Aluko's chance, but that was about it.

Garath McCleary - 5 - I'm afraid GMac didn't meet his usual standards, as it still looks he hasn't got his confidence back after his injury. Hopefully that will come with game time.

Sone Aluko - 6 - There were times where the new signing looked as if he was trying too hard to make things happen. He was meant to the central striker, but kept dropping deep to start moves and left us short up top. Should have done better with his chance in the first half, but a great assist for the equaliser.

Tiago Ilori - 6 - It was a strange call for Stam to bring him on, but bar one sloppy pass from the back, he was solid.

Jordan Obita - 6 - Good to see Obita back on the pitch again, and he showed the attacking intent Blackett didn't, but the quality of the crosses weren't there unfortunately.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson - 7 - He's had his critics, but he hit back with a superb equaliser. With Yann and Mendes still out, he gives us an outlet up top and if he adds consistent goals to his game, he will be a useful player.
