Isaksson To  Leave Man City?

Not really Reading news but:

Andreas Isaksson has declared he may consider leaving Manchester City after failing to displace No1 keeper Nicky Weaver this season.

He said: 'I've told my agent if this continues, then of course I have to look for something else.'

Now I know we have depth in goalkeepers now with Federici, new signing Andersen and Stack - although he is on loan.

But I think a keeper of Isaksson`s capacity could be just what we need, Hahnemann has appeared far too frigid at times and I would like to see someone like Isaksson in a Reading jersey.

Lita did put two past Isaksson on Saturday but in the City goalies defence, he hasn`t played for a while and aside from that I though t he played well, commanding his area and picking 90% of crosses out of the air!

yeah, maybe. have to agree hahnemann isnt always great. when the ball in his box he doesnt move for it! there are other keepers to consider though. what about ben foster or eve n federici? he hasnt had a chance yet!

This guy is a very very good keeper. He simply hasnt had a run of games in the team to prove as such. He would be a good keeper for most of the premiership clubs.

He's a Swedish international and is an excellent goalkeeper. I'd love to see him occupy the sticks here at the Madejski, and after Leroy's performance at the weekend he may think it safer to be playing on the same team as our dealy forward!

ha! true thomas, but 5keepers?! we're not that sort of team, hahnemann is going no where he is signed up i think so we will keep him! he does a top job i think your wrong about that link, he still has a couple more eyars and hopefully federici will take over then cos stack is nt the best.

its a bloody pipe dream! hahnemann will be in goal till we have to wheel him out, hes sturdy and got a skinhead thats the kind of man you need at the back a tough guy. not some panzy swede what is he a vegetable?!
