Team news - Leeds vs Reading

The international break never usually comes at a good time for teams, but you could argue for us it did! A poor run of form gave Stam the international break to think of a plan B and we will see how that goes! We take a look at team news ahead of our game at Leeds tomorrow afternoon.

Our opponents are looking quite healthy on the injury front after a few knocks picked up before the international break. Influential defender Pontus Jansson should be back after suffering a knock, while Ronaldo Viera and Eunan O'Kane should be fine after withdrawing from international duty.

Summer signing and former Newcastle player Vurnon Anita could be considered for selection for Leeds after returning to training this week. Skipper Liam Cooper will ease the defensive worries for the hosts, as he returns from his suspension picked up against Cardiff last month.

The Royals on the other hand haven't exactly been eased by injuries over the break. The most positive news was striker Yann Kermorgant returning to training after surgery in pre-season, but he won't be available for a couple of weeks. Tennai Watson and
Stephen Quinn remain sidelined.

Stam confirmed in the week that striker Joseph Mendes has had an operation on his knee so will be missing for the long-term. Jordan Obita is going to miss the season after successful ACL surgery, while John Swift remains doubtful and Callum Harriott picked up a fresh knock in training.
