Celtic reportedly chasing Royals defender
We're over a month away until the January window opens, but rather than being linked with players, it is quite the opposite!
The Daily Record is reporting that Brendan Rodgers has made Liam Moore his top transfer target and believe he can be tempted away from the Royals for a measly £5 million. He has been in outstanding form since joining us last summer and has gained some admirers in that time.
The 24-year old was linked with Burnley in the most recent transfer window to replace Michael Keane, but it wasn't confirmed whether the Premier League side made a bid. Moore has continued his solid form from last season and has become a large fans favourite in his short time here.
It would be scandalous to want to sell our best defender, especially for as little as £5 million. In the current market, you could argue that Liam is probably worth double that. I reckon the interest is genuine from Celtic, but I can't see both of us agreeing a price.
He only signed a new four-year deal in the summer and he seems to be enjoying his football again here, so I can't see Moore wanting to leave. If he continues his form, he may want to make that step up at some point, but at 24, he still has his career ahead of him.
