Player Ratings - Sheffield Wednesday (A)

Player Ratings - Sheffield Wednesday (A)

Another frustrating performance from Stam's men, as they laboured to a bore draw against a similarly toothless Sheffield Wednesday side. We take a look at how the players got on.

Vito Mannone - 6 - Had hardly anything to do, distribution was fine. Fair play to him also for returning to play despite his mother suffering a stroke last week, we wish her the best of health.

Leandro Bacuna - 6 - It's fair to say that Bacuna is hit and miss at right-back. He shows good intent going forward, but there can be questions marks over his defending, we were lucky that Sheffield Wednesday had no quality in their wide play. I much prefer him in central midfield.

Liam Moore - 6 - Solid game from Moore who wasn't troubled by the physicality of Joao or Fletcher.

Paul McShane - 6 - As above.

Chris Gunter - 6 - Like Bacuna he was rarely troubled and was solid defensively, but offered very little going forward,

Joey Van den Berg - 7 - Good game from the returning midfielder, who made a number of crucial interceptions and tackles in midfield. Tried to keep us ticking.

Dave Edwards - 6 - A typical Edwards performance with lots of energy and hassle in the midfield, but isn't the type of player to unlock the defence.

Liam Kelly - 5 - With Swifty out injured and being at the point of the midfield, there maybe too much pressure on young Liam to be the creative spark on his return from injury. Nothing clicked for him and his passing was surprisingly off.

Sone Aluko - 5 - Anything he tried unfortunately didn't come off. He had a few decent moments in the first half, but struggled to make an impact in the second. He could have also done better with a decent chance in the first half.

Modou Barrow - 6 - The Wednesday backline were frightened of his pace in the first half when he wasn't doubled up on, but they soon clocked on which halted his effect.

Yann Kermorgant - 6 - Yann is still clearly getting himself up to speed, but seemed very isolated with very little supply.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson - 6 - We saw the good and bad from Jon Dadi, as he created a great chance for Barrow with his running of the channels, but then wasted a good breakaway opportunity.

Pelle Clement - 6 - Didn't really do much of any note when he came on.

Roy Beerens - 6 - Didn't have enough time to make an impact, not that he would have done anyway.
