Team news - Middlesbrough vs Reading
It's a nice, long trip up to North Yorkshire as we take a Middlesbrough side, who like ourselves, have been struggling at home in recent months. Tony Pulis has stamped his defensive mark, but is struggling to get the best out of his attacking players. We take a look at the team news for both sides.
The home side have a very clean bill of health, with no new injury concerns. They also had a boost with Rudy Gestede's red card being rescinded by the Football League, meaning he is available for this game and likely to line up alongside Britt Assombolonga, who will look to kick start his early season form again.
The newest injury concern on a growing list for Jaap Stam is that of on-loan defender Tommy Elphick, who will miss the next six weeks with a knee injury. This is an even bigger blow when you consider skipper Paul McShane is still out and Omar Richards is a doubt to feature tomorrow.
Good progress has been made in training by John Swift and Joseph Mendes, who have been out for several months, but won't be considered for this game. Striker Chris Martin is expected to make his first start in a Royals shirt, after coming off the bench against Millwall on Saturday.
Liam Kelly will be pushing to get back into the matchday squad after getting some crucial minutes for the under 23s last week, while Callum Harriott is still continuing his recovery from a long-term injury lay off. Jordan Obita and Stephen Quinn are the still the long-term absentees.
