Ulises De La Cruz has acknowledged that his future with Reading is uncertain after falling yet another place in the Royals squad selection pecking order.
The Ecuadorian, who is tied to the club on a contract that expires this summer, had been playing second fiddle to Reading captain and right back Graeme Murty. On occasion the right sided player had stepped in for Murty but with the addition of Greg Halford to the Royals squad, Ulises believes his time with the Royals might be numbered:
'When I came to Reading, I only signed for one season and that will be up soon. I have not been playing and I don't know if I will still be here next season."
Halford started ahead of De La Cruz in Murty`s absence against Spurs on Sunday, and after a top performance it would be hard for De La Cruz to dislodge Halford in any games Murty may miss.
In the meantime, Ulises knows there are some issues to address at Reading in the coming weeks:
'There are many questions that I need to ask and hopefully I will find them out in the next few weeks.
'I am very happy here. It is a joy to play for the club when I am on the pitch, but I have not played as many games as I would have liked. I will have to see what happens.'
