Harper Set To Sign Soon

Negotiations with Harper have been ongoing for the last two months and there has been interest from other clubs.

His new contract is said to be for two and a half years and will come a relief to many Reading fans who had been expecting the worst.

Speaking to the Reading Evening Post Harper said: “My agent is going to have a chat with the club on Monday and I reckon things should be done in the next couple of weeks. I won’t let things run until the summer.

“I’m not greedy and I’m not asking for stupid money and hopefully it will be sorted out. I haven’t been stalling, I just wanted to make sure we have stayed on track and I have just been concentrating on playing and doing well.

“There are good times ahead for this club. I don’t want to leave what could be the most successful Reading team ever.”
