Sodje off to Wednesday

Reading defender Sam Sodje finally looks likely to complete his move to Sheffield Wednesday this week.

A fee was agreed with Sheffield Wednesday last week to take Sodje, 28, to club and after concluding some minor details the deal should be concluded in the next day or so.

"I spoke to Steve Coppell over the weekend, and we've sorted some issues that will allow Sam to join us," Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.

His younger brother Akpo, 27, could join Sam at Sheffield Wednesday as well, with them interested in the Port Vale striker.

Not content with one Sodje, Sheffield Wednesday want two. Good luck to Sam though, he will do a fine job for them, and help them out of their current troubles.
