Sodje Closing in on Charlton Move

Sodje Closing in on Charlton Move

After looking set for a move to Sheffield Wednesday Sam Sodje is now closing in on a loan move to Charlton instead.

Sodje's brother, Akpo, today signed for Sheffield Wednesday, and although Reading agreed terms with Sheffield Wednesday last week he doesn't look like he will be joining him after all. A season long loan move to one of last seasons relegated teams is the final details away from completion.

Sodje was sent off for Reading in his only appearance of the season so far for Reading in the Carling Cup win over Swansea, so will be cup tied for his new club.

That's quite surprising really. It looked odds on that he would join Sheffield Wednesday. Good luck to him anyway.
