Reserves: Reading Crush Cardiff

Reading strolled to a comfortable 6-0 victory over Cardiff to keep the impressive start to the season the reserves have had intact as defender Alex Pearce scored a hat trick.

Pearce opened the scoring just before half time, and he doubled this soon after. Simon Church added the third, and Kim Wonsik the fourth. Bulgarian trialist Radoslav Antonod made it five with a little over ten minutes to play before Pearce complete the scoring and his hat trick with a penalty ten minutes from time.

New signing Liam Rosenior played the full match in a right sided midfield role.
