Sonko is superman on James Harpers winner against Wigan, and how important he feels it was.
You have moments in life (not just football obviously) that prove defining moments, and Harps' last gasp winner for the Royals again Wigan last weekend will prove a season changing moment for us.
I have been looking at this Royals website for a while checking out what is being written, but it was after the dramatic win against Wigan and a poll on the importance of his late winner that I decided to take the plunge and get involved, which others should do, as I think that it was such a crucial goal at such a crucial time that it will change the whole season for the Royals, even though that view wasn't the winner of the poll, but it was in my eyes anyway and I'm sticking to it, no one can change my mind.
I had said in a comment I made on how crucial I thought it had been so the Ed challenged me to put it in words, just how important I thought it was, so I am trying to put my money where my mouth is here, so to speak.
It is too early in the season to say it saved the Royals from relegation, even though this isn't something that I think will/would have happen to us anyway, and a draw wouldn't have been that bad but with the crowds backing and the brilliance of the goal and how it was made and scored at the time it had, in a match that we deserved to win just makes me think it is one of those moments that will define our season, and one that has put to rest any doubts way deep down inside that we could be in trouble this year. I am not stupid enough to think that we will go unbeaten for the rest of the season, as we wont and we will probably lose at Pompey on Saturday like we did last season but that moment has got the ball rolling.
With superman coming back soon, Sonks is my favourite as you can tell with me calling myself sonko is superman things can only get better. Second season syndrome, its all a myth, just the thoughts of a happy Royal here, enjoy reading them as much as I have waffling on writing them.
