Coppell Keen on Nugent?

Weekend reports said that David Nugent could be a possible January target for Reading.

Since signing for Portsmouth Nugent has found it difficult to make much of an impact and most reports, if you believe what you read, are saying that Portsmouth could be willing to sell him already, and they could have even done so before the last transfer window closed.

Steve Coppell has admitted that he will be going into the transfer market in January, and he will also have to spend big to compete, so if he did make such a move then he could potentially pair Nugent with his former England under 21 partner Leroy Lita.

Other names also linked with Reading were West Ham's midfield duo of Hayden Mullins and Mark Noble.

A pairing of Nugent and Lita always looked good for England, so I'm sure it could for Reading but I don't think Portsmouth will sell him anyway. Hayden Mullins was a name mentioned with a deal involving Shorey in the summer so this could happen, but I wouldn't expect to see Noble sign.
