Sonko - Boro A Must Win Game

Reading entertain Middlesbrough on Saturday and Ibrahima Sonko can't hide the importance of three points for Reading.

At this point in time Middlesbrough are one place above the relegation zone, but Reading, having lost their last two matches are not far ahead of them in 13th place, just three points away from the relegation zone themselves. So as Sonko told the Reading website three points at the Madejski Stadium are a must: "We have Middlesbrough next and they are a team we could beat.

"We are at home, so it is a massive game that we must win.

"They seem to be having problems, but we can't really say that we're performing a lot better than them, so it will be a tough game.

"If we can win, it will be great for us - it will put more distance between us and them."

Reading's away from has been terrible this season, with their form at the Madejski Stadium thus far keeping them out of serious relegation trouble. But in order to stave off this threat this home form will have to be put to good use again in a real relegation six pointer.
