'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Royals Sign Bulgarian Starlet

Reading have completed the signing of 17 year old Bulgarian striker Radoslav Vasilev.

The youngster, who has been training with the club for some time now, joins from eight time Bulgarian champions Slavia Sofia.

Vasilev made his under 18s debut on Saturday, coming off the bench to score in a 5-0 win at Birmingham.

Academy Boss Eamon Dolan expressed his glee in capturing the player, 'Radoslav is a quality young footballer, and we are delighted.

'We've worked very, very hard to bring him here, and it's been a long battle to acquire him and fight off the competition.

'He's another player for whom we have high hopes'.

Vasilev joins a long list of international players at the academy, which now boasts youngsters from all over the globe including Ghana, Korea, Iceland and Australia.

The multi-cultural under 18s take on Northampton in the third round of the FA youth cup tonight.
