West Brom (A) FA Cup Match Preview

After the draw 10 days ago at the Madejski Stadium, the Royals travel to the Hawthorns on Wednesday for a FA Cup 5th round replay. A full match preview is here....

Vital Quotes:

Royals manager Brian McDermott-

'This is a great game for us. The FA cup is special, and it would be special if we can win and I've got every confidence we can do that.'

West Brom Team News:

Highly rated midfielder James Morrison could feature for the first time in 10 months for the Baggies, but they will have to do without Frank Nouble and Ben Watson who are cup tied. Jerome Thomas is suspended however Marek Cech will return following a lay off with a hamstring strain.

Player to watch: Simon Cox

The former Royals striker has played twice against his old club already this season and has yet to find the net. After setting up the goal that sent this game to a replay, he will keen to go one better and score this time around.

Reading Team News:

Ivar Ingimarsson will return to the starting 11 to replace cup tied Zurab Kizhanishvili at the heart of the defence. Simon Church, Brynjar Gunnarsson and Grzegorz Rasiak are all set to recover from knock's picked up against Blackpool.

Player to watch: Ivar Ingimarsson

Club captain has been well below his best recently and was rightly dropped from the starting 11. He will return for this cup tie and will be keen to perform well enough to get his place back on a more permanent basis.

Last Meeting

Saturday 13th February 2010, Royals 2-2 West Brom. Madejski Stadium

Match Prediction:

This is another tough game for the Royals but Bristol City proved on Sunday that West Brom are beatable and we will be confident of getting a result. I'm going to go for a 3-2 win after extra time in an exciting game.

Next Fixture:

Saturday 27th February 2010, Sheffield Wednesday (A)
